Orpe Human Rights Advocates is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. Its mission is centered on restoring human dignity. OHRA provides legal, social, and integration services to help low-income immigrants in becoming integrated members of American society. We can help you solve legal or social problems hundering you from living your life for better. Common areas of assistance include:
  • IMMIGRATION LEGAL ASSISTANCE: Adjustment of status, family-based petitions, asylum, deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA), employment authorization, NACARA, consular processing, naturalization/citizenship, removal hearings, special immigrant juvenile status, temporary protected status (TPS), U-visas, T-visas, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions. We assist in completing forms, filings with USCIS, and depending on the availability of our resources, representation at asylum interviews (credible fear interviews, reasonable fear interviews), representation before the Immigration Court, and before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
  • REFUGEES INTEGRATION SERVICE: support immigrants, refugees and asylees with critical services to assist them in becoming integrated members of American society. Services focus on the provision of culturally and linguistically appropriate services, empowerement through professional skills building, career development, or executive and leadership skills development.
  • CIVIL LEGAL AID: Employment, Family & Juvenile, Housing, Homeless, Public Benefits, Veterans.
  • ADVOCACY SERVICE: Administrative advocacy (CIS/ICE/CBP), Department of Justice (DOJ)/Office for Victims of Crime (OVC)-trafficking victims, housing referrals, legislative advocacy (state or national), Office Of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) services for trafficking victims, psychological or psychiatric services, referrals to other services.
  • WHO WE SERVE: Individuals who are not in legal immigration status, Individuals with criminal histories, Individuals with physical/mental disabilities, survivors of human trafficking, victims of torture, victims of domestic violence, juveniles.
